  • The daughter of Brazilian jazz drummer, Duduka Da Fonseca, Alana Da Fonseca grew up in Manhattan surrounded by a community of musicians. After graduating cum laude from Purchase College with a degree in Music Production, she began mixing and producing at an award winning music house in New York City, transitioning into the film/tv space in 2005.


    Alana’s recent projects include; music producer for the hit Netflix series, Wednesday, for which she was nominated for a Grammy®, Series Songwriter for the upcoming Disney Series, Primos, songwriter and producer for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary anthem, The Magic is Calling, and vocal producer for Julian Casablancas’ upcoming album with his group, The Voidz.


    In this episode we'll hear what it was like growing up in a prestigious musical family in Greenwich Village, how Alana is currently championing woman in music, how she originally got into making music for film and television, and fun stories from working with artists like Daft Punk, Kesha, Rebel Wilson, and Miley Cyrus.
