  • Seeking Jesus - The Three Wise Men, by William Stuart-Lee
    Jan 6 2025

The Wise Men in the Christmas story are a wonderful example to us. They sought the presence of the baby Jesus with only one goal: "Where is the King, that we might worship him?" This is an inspiration for us this holiday season to seek God above all else so that we can honor the King of kings and Lord of lords.

If you want to connect with us, share a prayer request, or learn more about a relationship with Jesus Christ, please reach out to us via this form: https://www.holyspiritleesburg.org/connect-card, and one of us will follow up with you.

  • Revelation Part 7 - Laodicea, by William Stuart-Lee
    Dec 12 2024

And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: "The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation. I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:14–22, ESV)

We have reached the final letter of Jesus Christ to the churches in the book of Revelation in the Bible. The church in Laodicea was seriously struggling, but Jesus gives them hope and a roadmap to follow to overcome their challenges.

Join us as Pastor William examines the truth of the Bible and teaches on how we can learn from and be encouraged by Jesus' words in the Scriptures.

  • Revelation Part 6 - Philadelphia, by William Stuart-Lee
    Dec 11 2024

Have you ever written or received a love letter?

The letter to the Church at Philadelphia is Jesus's love letter to a small, oppressed congregation in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey). They had been thrown out of the synagogue by those who were rejecting the Good News about Jesus, but God promises to them that it will become evident to everyone, including their persecutors, that they are loved by him.

Pastor William dives into this penultimate of the letters in the book of Revelation, which can be found in Revelation 3:7-13. Thank you for joining us for this wonderful teaching from the Bible!

  • Revelation Part 5 - Sardis, by William Stuart-Lee
    Nov 26 2024

And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: "The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. 'I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"
    - Revelation 3:1-6

The fifth letter of Jesus to the churches in the Book of Revelation in the Bible is to the church at Sardis, a wealthy town in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey). The believers there believed they were secure in their works, but it was all outward. In his mercy, Jesus writes to them to wake them up and give them the roadmap that they would need to overcome their challenges.

Pastor William tackles this topic in part 5 of our sermon series.
