    THE PODCAST AM

Reflecting on Solid Gold Soul, I came across some radio memories from WJMO AM Cleveland dating back to 1995 on YouTube. The show featured Solid Gold Soul with David Jackson, which was also broadcasted on WELS-FM in Kinston, NC. I used to listen to Solid Gold Soul frequently and still recall the catchy jingle celebrating classic soul hits from the 60s and 70s.

They showcased incredible tracks like Martha Reeves & the Vandellas' “Honey Chile, Third Finger, Left Hand,” which I mistakenly believed was called "Wedding Band." They also played Aretha Franklin’s “The House That Jack Built” and Tina Charles’ “I’ll Go Where Your Music Takes Me.”

It puzzles me why radio stations that play such great hits eventually change formats. They often transition to genres like Gospel or Country. I think a station like that could easily incorporate Gospel on Sundays and Country on Saturdays, while still showcasing the beloved soul hits throughout the week. I really miss Solid Gold Soul.

  • 🎄 A Wish for Unity-Whitney Houston 12:25:24 5.06 PM

    Story by: Gail Nobles

Let’s swing into the heart and soul of Whitney Houston’s “One Wish (for Christmas),” where the Queen of Heart and Soul herself lifts us up with a beautiful message that’s all about love, unity, and hope. You see, when Whitney sings, “If I had one wish for Christmas, there would be joy and peace here on earth,” she’s not just belting out sweet notes; she’s channeling a universal longing we all share.

This magical time of year, it’s about more than just decorations and gifts, my friends; it’s about that lasting warmth we can create together. Whitney was dreaming of a world where we all embrace each other, putting aside our differences and joining hearts across the globe. She was serving up a platter of good vibes, saying, “Let’s come together as one.”

With every note Whitney delivers, she reminds us that the true magic of the holiday is in the love we share, the joy we spread, and the peace we nurture. Let’s be together as one family. It’s a wish worth singing about.

I’m Gail Nobles have a very Merry Christmas.

Hello everyone, it’s Gail Nobles podcasting some holiday cheer and reflecting on the magical sounds of our Christmas in Washington from 1997.

This was an incredible performance, showcasing, Aaliyah silky vocals, and her unique style. The way she took on rendition of the Christmas song when she sang chestnuts roasting on and open fire, you could almost feel the crackling logs and taste of hot chocolate. It’s a performance that truly deserves a spot on CD she also saying what child is this.

Now for the CD recording itself, we’ve got to capture that authentic vibe a crisp, clear sound with the richness of her voice shining through every note! Let’s add in some smooth transitions between songs, that live feel like, like you’re right there in the audience with Bill and Hillary Clinton, soaking in the spirit of the season!

And speaking of Christmas magic, I’ve seen some absolutely stunning AI artistry showcasing Aaliyah dressed up in all her holiday glory. It’s a perfect tribute to a talented artist who holds a special place in so many hearts, especially around this time of year.

So let’s raise our glasses and toast to Aaliyah this Christmas. Her music should definitely continue to live on, her legacy rocking the holiday playlists for fans everywhere.
