Not only during the season of Thanksgiving should caregivers give thanks, but daily! Giving isn't only relegated to "care" for caregivers, but caregivers also need to give "patience", "love", "kindness", and most of all thanks. Find additional ways caregivers to "give" good things!

Start with caring about the care needs of the caregiver first before asking about the recipient of care! Caregivers are often overlooked because although people mean well, people skip over the needs of the caregiver. Start with empathy for the caregiver first!

Have mercy on others, but especially for those that have the title of "Caregiver"! This means before you conclude, assume, or make judgments about the caregiver, ask them how they are feeling, how they're doing, or what they need instead! Use "common sense" from being concerned about the caregiver and their needs!
