This has been a bucket list episode since the inception of Cinematic Pulse Podcast. Sharee and Audrey finally tackle the sci-fi blockbuster (and the book that inspired it).

The duo discusses how the classic 1989 Studio Ghibli film is representative of Japanese culture, the differing plot structure, and of course goes down a bit of a rabbit hole about the magical cat Jiji.
