God didn't create sin or pain, He created the ability to obey or disobey God.

God offered Adam and Eve good things by withholding what is not good for them. This is also true for us today.

God is not restrictive, He is protective. His protectiveness is informed by His Omnipresence and Omniscience.

God spoke directly to them and gave them the opportunity to be blessed through procreation.
