  • Menstruation, Ovulation, and Parts of the Penis
    Dec 3 2024

This episode of Daring Discussions is the #sexeducation you've always known you needed.... but couldn't seem to find! We are talking all about Anatomy, Physiology, Sexual Health & Reproduction. This episode is heavily visual, consider watching on YouTube Let’s be real—most of us grew up in homes or churches where talking about this stuff was either awkward, avoided, or downright shameful. But here’s the thing: understanding how our bodies work is a vital part of honoring the temples God gave us. Here's an episode breakdown: * The anatomy of the uterus, vulva and penis (yes, I said it—anatomy is God’s design, and we’re talking about it). * Menstruation and Ovulation * What the Bible says about caring for our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 is the blueprint). *The woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8:43-48) and what her story teaches us about seeking healing, breaking shame, and trusting God with our health. Knowledge is the key to good stewardship, —learning to care for these bodies God gave us while unlearning all the myths and stigma. We’re taking it there, and I promise, you’ll walk away feeling informed, empowered, and maybe even a little less awkward. So grab your notebook, hit play, and let’s talk about it! Don’t forget to subscribe, share, and drop a comment—I want to hear your thoughts.

    Nov 26 2024

Who are you when the labels, the expectations, and the opinions of others are stripped away? That’s what we’re discussing today in this week’s episode of Daring Discussions. We’re learning about Sexual Identity—what it really means to embrace who God created us to be. You are made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), full stop. The world might try to box you in, but God calls you worthy, chosen, and loved. Oh, and we’re talking about the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts8), Leah's journey through rejection (Genesis29), and Hannah's fertility struggles (1Samuel)—trust me, it’s got EVERYTHING to do with identity and belonging. • Intimacy in the Bible: What makes us sexual beings series
    Nov 19 2024

Here is Episode 2 of our series, “What Makes Us Seckual Beings" a look into the #CirclesofSexuality for Christians. The focus is all about #Intimacy. And no, I’m not just talking about candles and rose petals! We’re breaking down the nuances of intimacy, and defining different types of intimacy like: #emotional, #spiritual, physical, sexual, #financial, social—and how each one brings us closer to the people in our lives and to #God. As we bridge the gap between science and scripture, Genesis 2:24-25 leads the way. Some of your favorite biblical relationships like God & Adam, Adam & Eve, David & Jonathan, Ruth & Naomi teach us about how intimacy in all its forms requires open and authentic communication, trust, #vulnerability, and joy. Are you ready to move beyond surface-level connections and curate relationships that go the distance? This one’s for you! • What makes us sexual beings?: Christianity & The Circles of Sexuality
    Nov 12 2024

We are kicking off a brand-new series, “What Makes Us Sexual Beings?” This series is about discovering all the layers of our sexuality. Using both the Circles of Sexuality model and God's word, we are truly bridging the gap between science and scripture. In part 1 of the series, we’re starting with Sensuality, a key way that we connect with ourselves and experience the world around us. Today’s episode we are having Daring Discussions that defines Sensuality, as well as body image, skin hunger, the sexual response cycle, and fantasies. Psalm 139:13-14 teaches us that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” It’s time to see yourself the way God sees you—no shame, no judgment, just appreciation and compassion. And the Song of Solomon? We go there, too. That book celebrates physical attraction, intimacy, and sensual connection as part of God’s good design for us. My hope is that after this episode you get comfortable with what it means to be a sensual being, embracing your desires, your body, and every layer that makes you whole. (I also hope you've subscribed and will return each week for the rest of the series) Here is the link to the Circles of Sexuality Model that will guide this series: https://bit.ly/4hNi1xN I would love to have you join the Intimacy Insiders by hitting that subscribe button, leaving a comment, and following along on our Real. Nov 5 2024
Alright, first things first—this is another one of THOSE Daring Discussions. We’re talking about p*rnography. We’re starting with what scripture has to say. Then, we’re taking a hard look at how p*rn (introduced to some of us as children) can twist our understanding of intimacy, mess with our mental health, and cause disconnects in our relationships. We will talk practical steps too—accountability, choosing what we let into our minds and hearts, navigating & guiding the young people in ou...

  • Is Masturbation a Sin?
    Oct 29 2024
First things first—yes, we’re going there! This episode is all about masturbation! We will unpack it from a place of truth, love, and plus also, my testimony (teeth chatters nervously)! Masturbation is a topic that’s all too real for many of us, and is tangled up in questions and, let’s be honest, guilt and shame. In this Daring Discussion, we’ll look at what the Bible says (and doesn’t say) about this part of our lives, touching on scriptures like 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 as we dig i...
