In this episode we hear from New York native Daniel Joshua Rubin that life in Hollywood is not all it’s cracked up to be. Expressing his creativity was a principle Daniel was encouraged to do from a young age. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he learned early that if you’re going to do something, do it right!
This included having an Orthodox Bar Mitzvah even though his family were not religious. Daniel has been a storyteller for over 30 years, getting his start at Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago, with plays produced in Chicago, NYC and London, before heading to LA where he wrote for popular television series on NBC and WB networks.
He has collaborated with award-winning artists, further shaping his craft. In the end, Dan walked away from the glitz of Hollywood and shares why it’s not so glamorous after all and what he's discovered instead.
