Rumored to be the home of waters with healing powers in Abenaki legend, the tales from the springs date all the way back to the 1740’s. A greedy soldier who was healed by the waters decided to bottle it and sell it, and when that led to conflict that escalated to violence, a shaman’s child was killed. Legend has it that in her grief and despair, the Brunswick Springs were forever cursed.
