  • How to Build a Music Scene Part 3: The Fierce
    May 8 2024

This was episode 3 of a 3 part pilot for Indiana Public Radio. The show idea is moving forward, so now I can share these original pilots. The interviews are long and don't necessarily transfer great to the radio format, but make a great long form podcast format. I wanted to share these, because getting the opportunity to sit with someone like The Fierce and pick their brain about their experience in the Austin, TX music scene is invaluable for local artists.

I was able to have conversation with the founders and partners of The Fierce at a live performance in the back of The Common Market in Muncie, IN. They share wisdom from their time breaking into Austin scene, and some real nuggets of goodness on how to build a music scene here in Muncie, IN.

    Apr 9 2024

This was episode 1 of a 3 part pilot for Indiana Public Radio. The show idea is moving forward, so now I can share these original pilots. The interviews are long and don't necessarily transfer great to the radio format, but make a great long form podcast format. I wanted to share these, because getting the opportunity to sit with someone like Graham Sharp and pick his brain about the music industry is an invaluable asset to artists.

I sat with the Grammy award winning Graham Sharp from The Steep Canyon Rangers on his bus in Brevard, NC before night 4 of a 4 night run at Oskar Blues Brewery. We talked about how they got started, and how to build a music scene.

  • The Hillbilly Buddha. Overcoming: From an addicts perspective. Self Awareness and accountability.
    Feb 25 2022

I call Jim "The Hillbilly Buddha" because of his self awareness and peace of mind. Jim's last heroin hit was shooting up from a used Monster Energy Drink lid and an old bottle of water out of the trash. From that to 4 years of sobriety and self love, peace, and joy: A conversation with Jim Cassudakis.

If you're on a mission, then overcoming obstacles is a skill you cannot afford not to master. From an addiction point of view, overcoming the demon of addiction isn't just a mission; it is truly life or death. From his father's murder to growing up in domestic violence and suffering in silence, we hope you can learn and grow from Jim's insightful journey.

  • Pick Your One Thing: Ian Sanchez - EPA Grant Administrator, Naturalist, and Co-Founder of Grow Purpose Inc.
    Jul 29 2021

This episode is special to me personally! Ian has been a long time mentor of mine, and a business partner on Doc's Music Hall. Ian is a successful environmentalist and social entrepreneur. Ian was featured on PBS in his Documentary where he was filmed on a kayak trip from Greenville, SC in the mountains all the way down to the coasts of Charleston, SC.

Ian was a coordinator and grant administrator for the EPA and the state of SC, overseeing a multifaceted environmental grant collaboration project for the state of SC. The goal of the collaboration was to reduce redundancy and increase impact for the EPA grants for the state's precious natural resources. In this episode Ian encourages us to "Pick Our One Thing", and get to work. This will be a very enlightening episode to say the least!
