This movie basically took the question “is it better to have love and lost or never to have loved before” and ran with it. We talk about the kind of friend Clementine would be, the movie Shopgirl, my unfair disdain for Zach Braff, and that guy I dated who said he couldn’t come to my dad’s funeral because he didn’t have pants. We finally concluded that yes, it is better to have loved and lost, but then to go to therapy and get over the loss instead of having your memory erased.
