At 53, Chris completed his journey to the 2024 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii—powered by a Smith + Nephew hip replacement and the culmination of a 15-Ironman journey that earned him Legacy athlete status.


    Chris’s story is one of transformation. Growing up in New York City and later becoming the Dean of Students at Lindsey Wilson College, Chris found his athletic path through various sports and eventually fell in love with triathlons. Despite relentless hip pain that nearly forced him to stop, Chris pushed forward with the support of Dr. Stephen Duncan, undergoing a specialized hip replacement that allowed him to continue chasing his Ironman dream.


    Chris opens up about the challenges he faced in reaching Kona—from surgery and recovery to personal loss, including the passing of his mother. Through it all, he remained steadfast, completing 15 Ironmans to reach the world championship. Join us as Chris reflects on his legacy journey and shares powerful insights on finding the finish line, no matter the obstacles.
