In today’s episode I am going to be chatting to the author of a new Historical Fiction murder mystery The Death of Dora Black, Lainie Anderson.

Lainie has made Kate Cox the star of her new Historical fiction murder mystery novel, the Death of Dora Black. Kate Cox, was the first policewoman in the British empire employed on the same salary as men and given the same powers of arrest as her male counterparts. The real Kate Cox forced abusive husbands onto their knees to repent and recite the lord’s prayer and her team were jujitsu experts.

Matron Adelaide Maud Kellett was on the hospital ship at Gallipoli and later ran a hospital for soldiers who had lost limbs.
