Whenever I'm craving a good vibe on those weeknights, I can't help but think of the legendary band Chic. Their sound doesn't just get you dancing. It fills your heart with joy as you get into those groovy 1970s rhythms. It’s the kind of music that makes you feel alive and ready to enjoy life. Honestly today's tunes just don't have that same magic for me. So I keep listening to Chic’s tracks and reliving that feel good energy.

One of those tracks that I listen to is the track I Want Your Love from Chic’s
second studio album C’est Chic 1978.

In the United States, "I Want Your Love" reached number one on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in November 1978[2] and number five on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in April 1979. It also peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 1979 and remained on the chart for 19 weeks. In the United Kingdom, it reached number four on the UK Singles chart (the highest position of any Chic singles) and spent 11 weeks on the chart.

You remember Michael McDonald when he was a member of the Doobie Brothers singing:
He came from somewhere back in her long ago
What a fool believes he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away.

The song was written by Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins: What A Fool Believes. Michael McDonald sang lead with the Doobie Brothers for the 1978 album Minute by Minute.
So what's new? Michael has announced a new book titled What A Fool Believes: A Memoir. It will be out May 21, 2024 via Dey Street Books. The book is about Michael's career. The book is written with his friend Paul Reiser. You can pre-order the book on Amazon.

Also the Doobie Brothers and Michael McDonald are reuniting for a new album. They'll be some new music. And the Doobie Brothers featuring Michael McDonald will come back on tour in 2024.
