The Second American Reonstruction

By: Alton Spooner
  • Summary

  • In the near future, America is grappling with a dual internal conflict: recovering from a devastating Civil War and confronting the severe impacts of climate change. The main character, Oliver Howard, a war veteran, along with his young partner Ruth Freeman, is part of a new bureaucracy tasked with rescuing endangered citizens from hostile communities affected by climate change, historical racial tensions, and rampant corporate greed. However, accomplishing their mission is not their only concern. Unbeknownst to them, a greater spiritual purpose underlies their assignments, with invisible forces both guiding and obstructing their efforts. Will they succeed in their governmental roles while failing in their spiritual mission, or will it be the opposite? Follow along through each episode to uncover the answers.

"The Second American Reconstruction Podcast," created by Alton Spooner, a native of Louisiana and graduate of the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas, explores these themes in depth.
