Gather Bakery, a delightful local hangout in Spruce Grove, is the brainchild of friends Teresa and Ashley.

The story of Gather Bakery began during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic. Ashley noticed a lack of gingerbread houses available in stores, prompting Teresa to showcase her homemade gingerbread kits on Facebook. The response was overwhelming, and orders started pouring in. Working tirelessly until Christmas, Teresa and Ashley baked their hearts out to ensure that everyone could enjoy the magic of gingerbread houses.

Encouraged by the success of their venture, they decided to expand their offerings beyond Christmas. They introduced gingerbread kits for other holidays, including Valentine's Day and Halloween.

In 2023, realizing that their home kitchen could no longer keep up with the growing demand, Teresa and Ashley made the bold decision to open a physical bakery in Spruce Grove. Since its opening, Gather Bakery has become an integral part of the community, serving as a gathering place where people can connect and savor delicious baked goods.

Join us for a coffee and chat with Broddy Olson from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Broddy is the longest serving member of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra!

Born in Edmonton Alberta, Broddy had music in his blood, his father had opened the Olson Music School. At 17 he auditioned for the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and he hasn't looked back since. Broddy met the love of his life, Patty, in University, they soon got married in 1967. Patty suffered a tragic accident in 1983 that left her as a quadriplegic. Broddy stayed by her side through it all and helped get medical advancements into Canada for her. They spent 47 wonderful years together before her passing in 2014. Today you can still find Broddy playing with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.

Born in Estevan Saskatchewan, to a pastor and his wife, Darlene moved around a lot as a child. Her family settled into Edmonton where she would meet the love of her life and her future husband. Being in an inter-racial marriage was not easy, but they persevered and built a beautiful life together. Listen to hear about Darlene's amazing journey including her and Joe's moving philanthropic work as they formed the Reliable Charitable Foundation of Hope (RCFOH).
