Introducing Jo & Why the Definition of Binge Eating is, in fact, irrelevant.

  • Summary

  • Welcome to the Binge Eating Dietitian! In this very first episode, I’m going to introduce myself and how I got to be here talking to you about binge eating, and why the world needs more open discussion about food and disordered eating, I’ll then delve into how binge eating is defined and why, it is in fact, pretty irrelevant.   Diagnostic & Statistical Manual 5 (DSM V)For The Defintion of Binge Eating & Binge Eating Disorder: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK338301/table/introduction.t1/ (Table 1, DSM-IV and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for binge-eating disorder - Management and Outcomes of Binge-Eating Disorder - NCBI Bookshelf (nih.gov)) Read more about me: https://bingeeatingdietitian.com/home-page/about/ (About Me | Anti-Diet Answers (bingeeatingdietitian.com)) Disclaimer For Any Information Shared on This Podcast, My Instagram & Website: https://bingeeatingdietitian.com/disclaimer/ (Disclaimer | Anti-Diet Answers (bingeeatingdietitian.com)) Follow me on Instagram!: https://www.instagram.com/binge.eating.dietitian/ (Jo 🇮🇪 Binge Eating Dietitian (@binge.eating.dietitian) • Instagram photos and videos) Send me an e-mail: jo@antidietanswers.com

Advice to make you very sick and very obese.

It may have been the epoch of belief, it was actually the epoch of incredulity. The advice given here has been trotted out by Dietitians for decades, not even good science, it will make you very sick and very fat. The evidence is clear in the obesity and T2 diabetes rates which have soared decade on decade.. Solutions are more likely found in your personal biology and your environment..

Me thinks - this lady needs to bring herself up to date with the science and the evidence, rather than rely on manipulations coming from food companies.
