    Matias and his family knew they had to leave their town after their encounter with La Llorona. His mom was not willing to risk their family after what happened to Matias, she knew way too much about this spirit and knew if they didn't leave La Llorona would chase them and haunt them every day of their lives. But that was not enough, because even after leaving Colima, Matias feels as though she's still with him, and he knows there is no going back.
