    About Claire:

    Claire Leader is an Assistant Professor in the department of Nursing and Midwifery at Northumbria University. As both a registered adult nurse and midwife, Claire has a keen interest in women's health across the life course and is also the women's health and wellbeing champion for her department. Claire delivers workshops relating to menopause in the workplace; and balancing the demands of full-time work with the completion of her PhD as well as a busy home life, she has first-hand experience of the challenges presented when menopause hits.

She is one of the sustainability leads in the Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care department, and is currently leading educational reforms to reduce the carbon footprint of clinical skills teaching at the university.
