Neither is a perfect head coach candidates, but Carroll has the better track record and coaching tree, and he fits better with the Bears organization.

The Chicago Bears don't have to hire an offensive head coach to properly develop Caleb Williams. They need the best coach for the job, regardless of which side of the ball he specializes in.

Whether it's Ben Johnson, Mike Vrabel or even Matt Campbell, finding the right leader matters more than whether he calls plays or not.

The Chicago Bears put in interview requests for nearly a dozen candidates on Monday, and the fanbase started panicking about some of the more questionable names on the list.

There's no harm in Ryan Poles seeking a variety of perspectives from different candidates, and there's no need to start worrying until they start narrowing down to finalists.
