This month of Tevet on the Hebrew calender is a month of purification and this corresponds with the Gregorian month of January which focuses on purification , consecration and a giving over of ourselves as an offering to the Lord!

This is a month of praying, fasting and giving!

Since our firstfruit offering to the Lord is a whole of our giving and not our tithe or 10% we must learn the principles necessary to set ourselves up for all the remainder months of giving!

I know I share this scripture a lot but if you can rest on this you’ll see great blessings in your life! This revelation can bring sustenance every day for every need!

Deuteronomy 8:3 says, “And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.”

Jesus knew the power of living by every word of God!

John 4:34 , “Jesus saith unto them, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

The word “meat” is Greek word “broma” when broken down means to graze or feed like an animal that grazes or feeds in a pasture.

If we live like we are in God’s pasture daily and being a sheep that hears His voice we will respond to His instruction and graze off His sustenance . Since the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. As you receive you can then give!

Psalm 23:1-3 reads, “A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.”

Jesus learned obedience from those things which he suffered . He was trained to obey God’s voice and fulfilled His destiny and He became the author of our salvation as a result!

This month is preparation for reigning in the fullness of God’s sustenance for every decision we make for family, friends, city, state and nations!
