  • Welcome Episode
    Aug 25 2024

Welcome to the very first episode of My Future Podcast! I'm Carson Chan, a 15-year-old nationally ranked archer, and I’m so excited to kick off this journey with you. In this podcast, we’re diving deep into the world of archery (woohoo!), personal growth, and the sometimes crazy, always interesting experience of being a Gen Z teen.

Let’s talk numbers for a second: Gen Z, which includes everyone born between 1997 and 2012, makes up about 27% of the global population—that’s over 2 billion people! In the U.S. alone, we’re around 68 million strong. We’re the first generation to grow up fully in the digital age, with 95% of us owning a smartphone. We’re also super driven, with about 60% of us planning to get a college degree, and we’re passionate about making a difference, with 76% of us concerned about humanity’s impact on the planet.

I’ll be sharing my own experiences as a developing athlete, chatting with experts, and giving you tips on how to master your craft—whether that’s in sports, school, or life in general. Plus, we’ll explore everything from the latest tech trends and college admissions to relationships and current events. And I’m excited to share that we’ve got some amazing special guests and interviews lined up for future episodes.

Thank you so much for tuning in! I’m truly grateful to have you here as we kick off this journey together. Your support means the world to me, and I’m excited to see where this adventure takes us. Whether you’re here for the archery tips, the Gen Z insights (we keep it real), or just to hang out, I’m glad you’ve decided to join me. If anything resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you—feel free to DM me on Instagram @meetcarson or message me at CharityArrows.org. Let’s grow, learn, and have some fun along the way — one episode at a time!
