Our Island Story, H.E. Marshall - Chapter 13

  • Summary

  • "King Arthur, desiring to gather around him the bravest and noblest knights in the land, founded the Round Table. This table was made in such a way that there was no head, and therefore no one could claim a place of honor above the rest. All who sat at the Round Table were equals, and each knight was bound by a solemn oath to be true, loyal, and to protect the weak. Thus, the Round Table became a symbol of unity and chivalry."
