Queerious Queers Podcast

By: Queer Youth Action Committee
  • Summary

  • Welcome to Queerious Queers - a podcast for 2SLGBTQ+ youth by the 2SLGBTQ+ youth at QYAC. It is a fun and positive discussion/panel format that focuses on celebrating queer and trans folks and their identities! We are the Queer Youth Action Committee, QYAC, a team of queer and trans youth ages 24 and under. QYAC is one of the youth action committees of the Youth Services Bureau in Ottawa. We aim to educate, uplift, and bring together 2SLGBTQ+ youth in Ottawa. The creation of this podcast was made possible thanks to a grant from Youth Action Now.  We believe it's important to support queer and trans youth, and one of the easiest ways to do that is to expose yourself to their content and learn about their experiences. We find that a lot of queer content is focused on negative experiences such as discrimination. While this is an important aspect of queer expeirences, we wanted to create a space that shares our positive experiences.  We are doing giftcard giveaways on our social media as a part of this initiative!  Check us out at:  Instagram.com/qyac.ysbFacebook.com/qyac.ysb
