  • Ask-It Basket with Robert Pardon - 6
    Jan 7 2025

This week, Reco12 continues with the "Ask-it Basket" project we started in July. In this conversation, Justin B and Robert Pardon, discuss 10 things we have learned from and in recovery. We dive deep into questions that generally come from Robert and Michelle's work in treatment facilities. Our primary purpose is fitting ourselves to be of maximum service to God and our fellows. A take away from this conversation may be, "I am sober because of what I don't do. I am recovered because of what I do."

If you would like to connect with Robert, or Justin, or if you would like to submit any questions for a future Ask-it Basket episode, please send an email to reco12pod@gmail.com.

To hear more of Robert's stuff you can listen to his podcast called The Recovery Guy Podcast here or anywhere you listen to podcasts.

When the Song of the Angels Is Stilled
When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and the princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flocks,
    The work of Christmas begins:
    To find the lost,
    To heal the broken,
    To feed the hungry,
    To release the prisoner,
    To rebuild the nations,
    To bring peace among people,
To make music in the heart.

    Jan 1 2025

In today's Afro-Euro Meeting of Reco12. which was recorded on Friday, December 27th, 2024, Nadia J from the South Africa speaks with us on the topic of Relationships in Recovery

Here is a little about Nadia J - Twice born.
Agent working for God. Grateful child of God. Spearhead advancing the kingdom.
For seven years I floated in and out of the 12 step rooms; teetering at the jumping off point. Living on page 52 but wanting the promises of page 84.
Someone armed with the facts took my hand and marched me through the pages of our magical & beloved Big Book. I abandoned myself to a radical way of life. Forever grateful, forever changed.
