• Conflict with Character
    Dec 13 2024

In this age of technology and social media, it can be easy to feel like we know someone simply by their content. Sadly, this has led many to have a false sense of intimacy with someone, only to find out later that they do not know them as well as they thought.

The same is true of our relationship with God; we can confuse knowledge of His content with His character. When we endure trauma, loss, and suffering, we can feel betrayed by Him. A failure to understand character always leads to fracture.

Join us as we examine Abraham's life to find ways to avoid this pitfall in our lives, both with people and with God.

  • Reading through Revelation - Part 40
    Nov 25 2024

When will the world come to an end? Are we in the last days? Are you worried about being left behind?

These are questions I often heard when I was growing up. In church services, we would listen to sermons on how Jesus was coming back soon and that a massive time of tribulation was about to go on for the Church around the world. Fears of the Antichrist, the Mark of the Beast, and fiery judgment left me confused and fearful. Maybe you have heard or experienced similar things and wondered how true they were.

Join us as we continue this series on the Book of Revelation by finishing chapter 22 and looking at final applications from this book study.

  • Veterans Day 2024 - Just War
    Nov 11 2024

As a Christian and a military servicemember, I often get asked questions concerning how I can be willing to serve in the military and be part of an organization that exists to kill others. This idea is not new to Christianity or American military service members. How we understand, process, and apply our warfare concepts has a massive impact on our American experience.

In this episode, we will celebrate the brave men and women who serve our nation and protect our freedoms. We will examine the four significant perspectives on warfare in Christianity and how Just War best fits what we see in Scripture and reality. Join us as we learn about this critical topic and apply powerful truths in our lives.

  • That Thing We Do - Tithes
    Oct 21 2024

We do a lot of odd things in the Christian faith.

The danger of being a long-time Christian is that we can spend our whole lives doing these things, and why we do them never gets explained. The danger of being a new Christian is that many church communities cannot tell you why we do what we do because no one ever told them. We just do them.

This series aims to examine the Christian faith's traditions, practices, and sacraments so that we can know what we are doing in our faith and why we are doing it. Join us for this session as we examine the giving of tithes to understand its origins and history and have the right heart when we practice it in our lives.
