Many things are a "state of mind," and for Dave it seems that has becoming sports of every variety. Baseball has reached the post season, and Dave is enjoying the close games. No blowouts...those are boring. Hockey has returned, too!

But, as with everything else, there is no escaping the political landscape. While watching some sports to "get away" for a while, Dave is constantly reminded of the worst time of the year...November (that is if you're in the United States). With a deconstructed cheesesteak for lunch, Dave recounts his weekend at the Renaissance Festival. Not only were there feelings of nostalgia, but an evil ogre emerged from his cave of Hell to endorse the latest "top tier" candidate...and at this point life has become a parody. The winds of change are shifting, or really we are just entering Fall. As the weather gets cooler, Dave is becoming heated with marketing and promotion of the mediocre. Not to be political, seeing as he knows about as much as the next schmuck...nothing...it's always nice to see the various groups market their less than stellar warm cadaver adjacent figure. But with the slightest recollection, one might be able to catch any of them in a lie. Who really cares? Sometimes a good sandwich or taco soup is the thing needed to get you by.
