Sarah Khan leads Strategy and Transformation Consulting at KIG Consulting, Inc., a boutique firm she co-founded in 2015 to serve the Pacific Coast healthcare provider market. Ms. Khan is a recognized leader in end-to-end performance & culture transformations and business innovation successfully driving multimillion-dollar value to clients. 

Previously, Ms. Khan held the roles of Executive Director, Transformation at John Muir Health and Director of Strategic Portfolio Consulting with Optum UHG. Both roles drew on her experience in strategy and market development, and operations in the acute, ambulatory, post-acute, and at-home care settings. Leading ambulatory operations with DaVita Kidney Care, Ms. Khan improved quality to rank in the Top 10 in North America while driving double-digit growth. She also led DaVita’s relaunch of a new product across five Northwest US states tripling market penetration. 

Ms. Khan is grateful to have had opportunities to collaborate with exceptional leaders at Sutter Health, DaVita Kidney Care, Kaiser Permanente, John Muir Health, Optum UHG, and others, many of whom she continues to serve in her consulting practice. She has a Master of Public Health in Health Services Management from UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University. Ms. Khan is a Certified Lean Leader, a published author on the topics of business innovation, leadership mindset, and strategy.
