• Four Takeaways for the Seahawks from Wild Card Weekend
    Jan 15 2025

Following Wild Card weekend, we kick off a discussion about the winning quarterbacks in the playoffs and how they compare to Geno Smith and the Seahawks. Should the Seahawks should consider changes based on these performances? Is having a mobile quarterback in the NFL necessary for Seattle to stay competitive.

Coaching is the focus of the another topic, as the guys break down what the Seahawks should look for in a new offensive coordinator. With names like Klint Kubiak and Grant Udinsky in the mix, it's looking like head coach Mike Macdonald is less interested in bringing in a senior play caller. Finally, based on what we saw in the Wild Card round, we weigh the pros and cons of keeping DK Metcalf versus exploring other options.

  • 457: Big Cat Snubbed, 3 Names for Seahawks OC Surface
    Jan 11 2025

We're kicking off the offseason with discussions on the Seahawks coaching changes and the All-Pro snub of Leonard Williams. With Ryan Grubb out as offensive coordinator, we take a look at three potential candidates to step into the role: Thomas Brown, Hank Fraley, and Klint Kubiak who are all reported to be interviewing with the position. How do their past achievements play into and potentially fit with the Seahawks' philosophy? What are some of the risks associated with each candidate? We each offer our top candidate of the three.

Leonard Williams was snubbed from the All-Pro team despite exceeding all of the other candidates statistically in almost every category. Could this motivate Big Cat to an even better season next year? Plus we get into the topic of general manger John Schneider and his 2024 offseason and in-season moves. Could this be the offseason where he finally addresses the issues on the offensive line?

As we look around the rest of the league, the San Francisco 49ers are considering a familiar name for their vacant defensive coordinator position. Plus could Pete Carroll be on track to return to the NFL in 2025? He has two jobs lined up and one could him in position to reunite with some former Seahawks. We call out the rarely used 'strength of victory' in determining tie breakers and the Patriots for moving on from their head coach after one season. Better at life honors go out to head coach Mike Macdonald and to the firefighters battling the fires in Southern California.

    Jan 6 2025

The Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks finish with identical records and they can take the taste of losing into the postseason. Our defense got dinged, Jimmy G. was sorta competent and also what we were expecting. Plus, Geno Smith balled out with 4 TDs and capping off his season with his sights on a $6M bonus for his 2025 contract. We talk about our thoughts on what to look for in the week ahead and our plans leading up to the NFL draft.

  • 456: Time to Tear it Down or Double Down
    Jan 2 2025

As the Seahawks wrap up their season with Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, we debate the merits of closing out the season with a win, even if it's against a Rams team playing for nothing. Looking ahead to the offseason, there are two primary paths that make the most sense the Seahawks: tearing it down to focus on a rebuild or doubling down and sticking with a big part of the current roster. We talk about the key players, potential roster moves, and whether or not either option features offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb.

Coach Mike Macdonald says there are a handful of players who will be trying to hit some incentives for the season. How do the financial implications of Geno Smith's contract incentives play into the broader salary cap situation? In the second half of the show Adam pushes for the reasons why the Seahawks scenario of running it back should include Geno rather than trying to find another free agent to pursue -- but he does set a contract limit to where it would be too much. Sean Payton and anyone who suggests that Geno Smith should sit out Week 18 are called out in the Do Better segment, while a pair of Seahawks earn Better at Life honors.

    Dec 27 2024

Join us for a post-game breakdown after the Seahawks less-than-stellar win over the Bears. Winning is still better than losing, especially when it results in a winning season overall for 2024. We dive into the defensive showcase that held the Bears to just three points, and take a look at the offensive strategy that looked like it was set up for success in the second half. Despite the win, the frustration with the offense and the debate over Geno Smith's performance continues. We look ahead to Saturday's showdown between the Cardinals and Rams to find out how meaningful the Seahawks Week 18 matchup will be.

  • Seahawks Playoff Hopes Are Now in Peril
    Dec 23 2024

Another tough week for Seattle Seahawks fans after our team lost to the Minnesota Vikings 27-24, putting any playoff hopes in serious jeopardy. We break down the game, and discuss how our Seahawks had a lead but couldn't hold onto it in the fourth quarter. Despite a promising comeback led by Geno Smith, the offense struggled with balance and timely penalties. Justin Jefferson torched the Seahawks defensive backs for two touchdowns, while DK Metcalf was held relatively in check by the Vikings defense. With the loss, the Seahawks playoff hopes now rest on the Arizona Cardinals being able to beat the Rams, only if Seattle can go on the road on win on Thursday.
