• THE SIGN OF HIS GLORY JOHN 4:46-54
    Mar 8 2025

The point of today’s session is Jesus works on behalf of all who come to Him, extending His grace to the weary, the broken, and the lost. Christ’s grace is not earned but freely given, manifesting in His miracles, His mercy, and His ultimate sacrifice to bring salvation and restoration to all who believe.

I have 3 points to make

    1. Believe He is Gracious (John 4:46-47) – A royal official seeks Jesus, believing in His power to heal despite the desperate situation.
    2. See His Grace (John 4:48-50) – Jesus speaks a word of healing, and the official believes even before witnessing the miracle.
    3. Acknowledge His Grace (John 4:51-54) – The official confirms his son’s healing and, recognizing Jesus’ divine power, his entire household comes to faith.

While I unpack today’s scripture I ask that you consider this question: HOW DO I RECOGNIZE GOD’S GRACIOUS ACTS?

  • THE LIFESTYLE OF WORSHIP COLOSSIANS 3:1-5,12-17
    Feb 18 2025

Today's session point is EVERYTHING WE DO IN LIFE IS TO BE AN ACT OF WORSHIP, as emphasized in Colossians 3:1-17. This passage calls believers to set OUR hearts and minds on things above, putting to death worldly desires and clothing themselves in virtues like compassion, kindness, humility, and love. When we live in gratitude, peace, and service to God—whether in our work, relationships, or daily actions—we reflect true worship, doing everything in the name of Jesus Christ for His glory.

I have 3 points to make:

    1. Focus Your Thoughts (Colossians 3:1-5): Set your mind on things above by seeking God's will, rejecting sinful desires, and aligning your thoughts with His purpose.
    2. Fortify Your Attitude (Colossians 3:12-15): Clothe yourself in Christlike virtues—compassion, kindness, humility, and love—allowing His peace to rule in your heart and shape your character.
    3. Be Faithful in Your Actions (Colossians 3:16-17): Let God's Word dwell in you richly, guiding your words and deeds so that everything you do brings glory to Him.

  • THE BENEFITS OF WORSHIP PSALM 63:1-11
    Feb 9 2025

Today's point is We find all we need when we come to God in worship (Psalm 63:1-11). We will see that David’s perspective in his dire situation was worship instead of fear and despair, choosing to seek God rather than be overwhelmed by his troubles. He focused on the benefits of knowing God—living in His unfailing love, which gave David strength and peace even in difficult times.

I have 3 points to make:

    1. Satisfaction in Our Days (Psalm 63:1-5) – When we seek God earnestly, He quenches the thirst of our souls, filling us with joy, purpose, and fulfillment that nothing else can provide.
    2. Safety in Our Nights (Psalm 63:6-8) – In the stillness of the night, we find security in God's presence, knowing He upholds and shelters us through every trial.
    3. Surety Concerning Our Future (Psalm 63:9-11) – No matter what opposition we face, we have confidence that God will bring justice, protect His people, and fulfill His promises.

While I unpack today’s scripture I ask that you consider this question: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS IF I WORSHIP GOD?

  • THE ATTITUDE IN WORSHIP PSALM 40:1-11
    Jan 27 2025

This week’s session focuses on AUTHENTIC WORSHIP: Authentic worship is a genuine, wholehearted response to God, grounded in spiritual truth and devotion. A positive attitude fosters gratitude and hope, removing distractions and self-focus. This receptive heart enables deep communion, guided by reverence and trust. By maintaining hope, believers transcend challenges, stay anchored in God’s goodness, and enter truly transformative, God-centered worship.

Introduction:Today’s point is that we are to come to God with a heart fully focused on Him alone, because our attitude determines whether we experience authentic worship or simply go through the motions. When we approach God with gratitude and reverence, we open ourselves to a deeper, transformative encounter with His presence.

I have 3 points to make this session:

    1. Rejoice in What God Has Done (Psalm 40:1-5): Pause to remember God’s mercy and deliverance, offering joyful praise for His faithfulness.
    2. Be Regimented to Do God’s Will (Psalm 40:6-8): Align your daily actions with His Word, choosing obedience as an act of worship.
    3. Be Ready to Declare God’s Praise (Psalm 40:9-11): Boldly share God’s works with others, testifying to His goodness and grace.

While I unpack today’s scripture I ask that you consider this question: How can I cultivate authentic worship?

    Jan 25 2025

This week’s session focuses on BEING GRATEFUL. Gratitude is the sincere acknowledgment of kindness or blessings received. Human gratitude often depends on specific actions and is expressed conditionally, while God’s way calls for continual thanks, rooted in faith and trust, regardless of circumstances, as an act of worship and acknowledgment of His sovereignty.

Introduction: Today’s point is: God’s goodness and love lead us to grateful worship. Through Psalm 25, we will see how God’s character inspires our trust and heartfelt worship in response to His compassion, care, and faithfulness.

I have 3 points to make this morning:

    1. God Is Full of Compassion // Psalm 25:4-7 God’s mercy and love lead Him to guide, teach, and forgive us, calling us to worship Him with gratitude.
    2. God Has Overflowing Care // Psalm 25:8-11 God lovingly instructs and leads those who humbly seek Him, inspiring grateful worship for His unfailing guidance.
    3. God Faithfully Keeps His Covenant // Psalm 25:12-15 God honors His promises, blessing and protecting those who fear Him, leading us to worship Him in trust and thankfulness.

While I unpack today’s scripture I ask that you consider this question: HOW DOES GOD INSPIRE ME TO GRATEFULLY WORSHIP HIM?

  • PURPOSE EXPRESSED GALATIANS 6:1-10
    Jan 23 2025

This week’s session focuses on LIVING OUT your purpose by RESTORING OTHERS. HOW DO WE EXPRESS OUR PURPOSE IN CHRIST BY SERVING OTHERS? We live in a society that is all about “Me, Me, Me. I’m gone get mine. I don’t have to do it if I don’t want to. I got mine, so you get yours. We don’t put family first - only 30% of young adults want children, We don’t care about our neighbors, community service is down to 27%. That’s their busy. I got problems of my own. I, I, I. Does any of this sound familiar to you?

The point of today’s lesson is: WE FULFILL OUR PURPOSE AS WE SERVE OTHERS IN LOVE.

I have 3 points to make this morning: Be aware of Warring Purposes Inside // Galatians 5:16-18

    1. Our purpose leads us to share the Load
    2. When we love, we sow the spirit
    3. It won’t be easy so stay the course.

While I unpack today’s scripture I ask that you consider this question: HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOUR PURPOSE IN CHRIST BY SERVING OTHERS?

  • PURPOSE ABANDONED PSALM 8:1-6; 14:1-7
    Jan 23 2025

This week’s session focuses on how sin keeps us from living out our God ordained purpose. Reflect on an instance that you allowed sin to draw you away from God’s purpose for your life. What did you do, say, or think in response to your experiences? How do you think these experiences impacted your life?

The point of today’s lesson is that GOD CREATED US WITH PURPOSE, BUT OUR SIN KEEPS US FROM LIVING OUT THAT PURPOSE. I have 3 points to make this morning:

    1. Created For the Purpose of His Glory
    2. Corrupted by Our Purposes
    3. Deliverance from Zion
