Cynthia Qondani “Qondi” Ntini is a homeschooling mom, wife, real estate investor, recovering consultant and writer based in Washington DC. Her childhood in post-independence Zimbabwe and post-apartheid South Africa inspired her to study International Development, Political Science and African studies at the University of Pennsylvania. She spent her career working with African governments at international organizations and a global consulting firm.

But she’s always been a writer at heart, winning national essay competitions, keeping diaries, writing poetry and books for her kids. Cynthia spent years helping run her parents’ real estate firm, experience she credits for her own investment in multiple rental properties. She is married to a fellow South African and homeschools her two boys full time using Washington DC’s resources, museums and history as the ultimate playground. She likes to unwind by cooking, drinking an ice cold glass of rosé and listening to music. Maybe one day she’ll fulfill the goal she set at 23 and open a music venue.
