  • In February 2016, a six person hit-team burst through the doors of a boxing weigh-in at Dublin's Regency Hotel. There, a Kinahan Cartel lieutenant named David Byrne was brutally murdered, as other senior members of the gang made a lucky escape. The attack took place in front of a room packed full of boxers, journalists, civilians, and young children. From that moment on, Irish gangland would never be the same again.


    Premiering on the 26th of April, The Kinahans is a new Irish true crime podcast created by The Irish Sun. Following on from their 2021 hit The Making Of A Detective, The Kinahans tells the 40 year story of Ireland’s most feared crime family in nine parts. Follow along, as the podcast aims to predict what might come next for The Kinahan Cartel, as they continue to evade The FBI, An Garda Síochána, Interpol and a number of other police services globally.

Honest

The truth and the pain of the family’s that are involved. Very sad. But almost seems like a fiction movie unfolding. Excellent listen.
