  • Introduction to the Tea Princess Chronicles Podcast
    Sep 5 2020

Welcome to the Tea Princess Chronicles podcast! My name is Casey Blair, and I'm the creator of Tea Princess Chronicles, a cozy fantasy series I published initially for free as a weekly web serial. The main part of the project is a—now-completed!—trilogy.

If cozy adventures of magic and friendship and tea are relevant to your interests, you're in the right place!

This introduction gives a little bit of the background and trivia for this podcast, but the basics are that it will feature short, easily digestible stories set in a magical tea shop. Each presents a tea blend using a new fantasy ingredient with different magical properties that is uncannily exactly what the person or situation calls for. Some ingredients are distressing, some produce hilarious effects, and a lot of the teas are about bringing home the emotional resonance of comfort and inspiration and care in a hot cup of just the right tea.

These stories can be read or listened to in any order even if you haven't read the books, though I do recommend reading the first four chapters for some introductory context. Those are available for free at teaprincesschronicles.com, and that's also where you can find all the transcripts. If there's a spoiler for one of the books, I call that out in advance, but at the time of this recording the vast majority of them are safe even if you're not caught up.

    Last but not least:

    • You can support my work and the project with Patreon or Ko-Fi
    • You can follow @teamagicserial on Twitter for updates about Tea Princess Chronicles.
    • You can follow me on Twitter at @CaseyLBlair and find out more about me and my work on my website.
    • You can also sign up for my occasional newsletter! Subscribing includes a bonus scene set during the second book of Tea Princess Chronicles from the perspective of the heroine's best friend, who is the witch who brews all the magic tea you're about to hear about.

    Without further ado, happy listening!
