Love the classic story, audio quite disappointing :(

Love this H. G. Wells story.

Each 20min section is read by a different narrator (which is not in itself a bad thing).

However, while a good number of the segments were absolutely fine, MANY others were:

- difficult to hear properly due to poor audio quality;
- badly attempting accents; or
- speaking English with an accent that severely impacts clarity


The people who narrated each segment gave it their best shots, and hats off to them!
I only have puzzled feelings over who allowed this production to be released when its quality and comprehensibility were so low.

Some of the narrators were (badly) attempting Old-English accents and it really took me out of the story.
For others, sometimes it was plain difficult to identify which word had just been said, for whatever reason.

Sorry if this sounds overly-critical.

I have never posted a negative review before, but the audio quality of this AUDIObook, one my favourites of H. G. Wells, has actually driven me to post this.
