• Episode 4-The Holy Spirit Upon: His Infilling Power
    Feb 17 2023

In the last episode we looked at the work of the Holy Spirit in Salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, also called the Holy Spirit upon or the infilling of the Holy Spirit. In this episode, we take a closer look at the infilling of The Holy Spirit. Specifically, we look at John 20:21-22, when the resurrected Jesus breathed on His disciples and they received the Holy Spirit. This was the new-birth experience of salvation, or being born again spiritually because Jesus had now died for our sins. Then, we look at Luke 24:49, where the resurrected Jesus tells the now born-again disciplines to stay in Jerusalem until they receive power from upon High through the Holy Spirit. Finally, we look at Acts 2:1-4, where the disciples, per Jesus' instruction, were waiting in Jerusalem for the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and on the day of Pentecost the now born again believers received the infilling/baptism of the Holy Spirit followed by them speaking in different tongues.

We conclude the episode by looking at the fruit of the Holy Spirit from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit from the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

  • Episode 3-Two Separate Experiences: Salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
    Jan 23 2023

In this episode, we look at how God’s Word shows us that salvation and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, also called receiving the Holy Spirit or being filled with the Holy Spirit, are two separate experiences, although the Holy Spirit is involved in both supernatural events. Specifically, we look at Acts 8:5-17; Saul (Paul) conversion in Acts 9:1-17; and Acts 19:1-7. So listen and share the podcast with others and be blessed!

  • Episode 2-The Holy Spirit Recreates the Believer's Spirit and Then the Holy Spirit Lives in the Believer
    Aug 9 2022

In this episode, we are going to look at the fact that the Holy Spirit dwells in each believer. Once a person confesses that God sent his only Son, Jesus, to die for their sins and God raised Him from the dead, God through the Holy Spirit regenerates that person’s spirit. Thus, the phrase being born again. Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3 that in order to see the Kingdom of God, i.e. Saved, one must be born again, that's born of the Spirit of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in John 3:5-8, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

But not only does God by the Holy Spirit regenerates our spirit man, but the Holy Spirit then also dwells in our physical body. John 14:16-17: (CEV) say, "16 Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you. 17 The Spirit will show you what is true. The people of this world cannot accept the Spirit, because they don't see or know him. But you know the Spirit, who is with you and will keep on living in you." Therefore, being born again is not just an experience; but also it is receiving the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The Third person of the Holy Trinune God who makes His home in us.

Again, after God Himself, by the Holy Spirit, recreates and makes us new creatures in Christ and made us His own, then He in the person of the Holy Spirit makes our bodies His home. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 that "All of you surely know you are God's temple and his Spirit lives in you. Together you are God's holy temple, and God will destroy anyone who destroys his temple."

We discuss all of this and more in this episode. So listen and share the podcast with others and be blessed!
