Today we conclude the study of the book of Acts with Paul in Rome where, although placed under house arrest, he continues to fulfill the calling on his life – to preach the gospel to the gentiles.

Here are the key points from this final chapter:

3. At the end God always opens new doors.

5. At the end God always wins.

Acts 28 describes the final chapter of Paul’s journey to Rome after his arrest. Following a shipwreck, Paul and his companions land first on the island of Malta and then finally in Rome where he is placed under house arrest but given some freedom to receive visitors.

Paul spends the next two years in Rome, preaching about the Kingdom of God and teaching about Jesus with boldness and without hindrance. This chapter highlights God’s protection over Paul, the spread of the gospel in the midst of uncomfortable circumstances, and the fulfillment of God’s promise to bring Paul to Rome. Take a listen!

Paul never tires of telling his conversion story, and God never tires of using it to impact others.

Today we’re wrapping up Acts 26 where Paul shares before King Agrippa, Governor Festus, and other officials his testimony and the reasons behind his unshakable confidence in God’s promises.

Here are six key insights we can draw from this passage:

1. We hope in the promise because of the one who made the promise.
2. We hope in the promise because of the testimony of others.
3. We hope in the promise because Jesus is risen.
4. We hope in the promise because of how we have changed.
5. We hope in the promise because we obey.
6. We hope in the promise because God can do anything.
