  • RQ Network Feed Drop – Remnants Ep. 1
    Jul 15 2024

This month we are featuring a feed drop of one of many incredible podcasts on the RQ Network: Remnants.

Remnants is a weekly, thrilling, dark fantasy, audio drama filled with mystery and has just launched on the RQ Network.

When we die, the remnants of us return to the First and Last Place. Our fate is decided by Sir and his new Apprentice, who read our remnants to determine whether they should be re-shelved or discarded. But what are the criteria? What happens to discarded souls? How are new lives for the re-shelved determined? And why, after untold stretches of existence, has Sir decided that he needs help to do it?

Remnants explores the boundaries between right and wrong, examining humanity from its brightest and best to its darkest and most frightening, and all the grey in between. The Apprentice soon discovers that when we judge others, we often expose truths about ourselves.

Remnants is from Eira Major the same brilliant creator behind the Spirit Box Radio and Not Quite Dead.

Introduction and outro by Anusia Battersby. Listen to Remnants on The Rusty Quill website, on Acast, or listen wherever you get your podcasts, or to learn more about Remnants check out its official website.

A-MAZ-ING!!!!!!!!!!

The Magnus Archives sure is a podcast like no other. If you’re looking for a urban legends style, uncanny valley, and sometimes down right terrifying podcast to listen to I recommend this so much. Each character has been a strong backstory and cool persona even to the point where you love the people you supposed to detest. Jonathan Sims is a genius !!!!

Can't wait to start all of it again!

Johnny Sims is an absolute maestro in writing this interwoven piece of horror genius. I loved every single episode, loved the metaplot-which was so wonderfully clever - and really fell in with the characters, both prptagonists and antagonists alike. If you like intelligent, big mythos horror, with a wonderfully diverse cast of audio drama superstars, this is absolutely for you. I laughed, I cried, I was heartbroken, I had nightmares. It's perfect. I need to listen to all five series again right now.

fantastic

brilliant mysterious stories, performed masterfully.

the greatest achievement is in the atmosphere created, through eerie, detailed tales and sublimely creepy and skilled sound design, artisanally wrought for maximum disquiet and intrigue.

A masterpiece

Absolutely beautiful. Amazing acting, awesome story, sound effects and more! Everything was perfect! I'm normally not a podcast person, (I get bored easily or can't focus) but I didn't want to stop listening to this one.

Narrators voice like a Butlin’s Magician.

Can’t get past the obviously young main characters voice trying to sound older and authoritative/mysterious. Tried a few times but nope just grates too much!
