  • Ep:089 | Travis Mills | Bounce Back
    Nov 9 2023

In this special Veteran's Day episode, I get to talk with Travis Mills. At the age of 25, Travis Mills had both of his arms and legs amputated from an IED explosion while serving in Iraq. We covered his "Never Give Up Never Quit attitude in Episode 67. In this episode, Travis gives us an update on how his Foundation is continuing to help wounded and injured veterans and first responders. We also discuss Travis' newest book, "Bounce Back." I've read that adversity is a horrible thing to waste. Throughout my conversation with Travis, his light-hearted attitude and playful nature shines through as he relays a message that we all can serve, despite the problems we might be facing. I hope you enjoy Travis' perspective on life and service as much as I did.

  • Ep:088 | Lisa Jaster | Delete the Adjective
    Nov 9 2023

In this special Veteran's Day episode, I get to talk with Lt. Colonel Lisa Jaster. Lisa was one of the first 3 women to pass Army Ranger School. We get to take you through Lisa's journey in her book, "Delete the Adjective." Throughout the book, Lisa is faced with numerous situations that I think we'd all agree were less than ideal and fair. My take away from my conversation with Lisa and her book, is that life isn't going to be fair, period. Waiting for the situation to be fair wastes valuable time that you could be devoting to achieving your goals. Lisa's resolve to complete Ranger School is admirable and gave me a new perspective on how much we can accomplish if we just roll up our sleeves and get to work. I hope you enjoy this episode.

  • Ep:087 | Drago Dzieran | The Pledge to America
    Nov 9 2023

In this special Veteran's Day episode, I get to talk with Drago Dzieran. Drago immigrated to the United States in 1984 with ten cents in his pocket after being a political prisoner in Communist Poland. We cover Drago's story in his book, "The Pledge to America." My takeaway is that with hard work, determination, and a will to overcome, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to if you live in America. Drago came to America, not speaking English and started working to pay his rent as a janitor at a local church. Fast forward a few decades and Drago has retired after a career in the Navy Seals, he's married and has a family and works as a software engineer. As Drago says over and over, his story is only possible in America.
