In today’s episode I’m following up on last weeks episode where is shared 5 strategies to help set your team up for success in 2025. Today I am sharing my top predictions for your team for 2025.

My 5 top team predictions are:

Job mobility will be on the rise: for a range of reasons, I believe we are heading into a season where more employees will be looking to change employers – this may be good news for you if recruitment has been tough for the last couple of years.

Increase in the use of AI and associated technology: we’re already seeing job applicants actively using AI in their application process – so your hiring skills really need to be on point right now. But on the flip side, how can your team leverage these tools to help them at work?

The right to disconnect implementation will be closely watched by your team. If you haven’t yet put any thought into the practical implementation of this new legislation now is the time.

Focus on wellbeing at work will increase, and I expect this will ultimately become a non negotiable expectation of employees.

Employee expectations will continue to increase. People are no longer looking for ‘just a job’ – they want to feel part of something bigger, like they are contributing and adding value, that they are valued. They want to work for purpose and values led businesses – and they will move if their expectations aren’t being met.

• Leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and encouraging your team to use AI tools to improve efficiencies in their roles.
• Implementing Workplace Well-being Initiatives. Business who can do this effectively in 2025 will have the edge when it comes to attracting, engagement and retention of great talent.

In today’s episode I am sharing a conversation which we had over on the Grow Your Influence podcast, where my cohost Juliet Robinson and I were talking about dealing with difficult people at work – in fact it’s one of our most popular episodes ever!

We waste so much time and energy dealing with people who behave badly. Often we put the conversation off for as long as possible and sometimes we avoid these conversations altogether.
