  • Summary

  • There are two sides to the American Revolution.

On one hand, there were policies and actions taken by British Parliament and the Continental Congress, that played a big part in war breaking out. Of course, there were also the actions of American Patriots in towns and cities across the countryside that also played their part in sparking the American Revolution.

But there was also an intellectual and philosophical revolution that occurred in the minds of Americans during the 18th century thanks in part to the Age of Enlightenment.

Both were important, but In this episode, we’re going to travel down the road to Revolution by primarily discussing the policies and events that ultimately led to the 13 colonies dissolving all political connection between themselves and Great Britain, leaving the philosophical conversation for another podcast.

    It’s a remarkable story.
