Suite Two speaks to heartbreak and the polarizing reality of pain and moving on through five songs during the middle portion of the record. Suite Three comes full circle making its way back to moving forward and finding your way back to self-love. Cliff has been performing live for more than 20 years. • Ep 376- "Cindy Of Arch" Is Back In NYC & We Have Cynthia Kaplan & Dani Davis Here With Us!
    Dec 27 2024
We love a creative mind with humor and spirit! We have Playwright & Performer Cynthia Kaplan here with Tony Winning Producer/Director Dani Davis to tell us all about their show "Cindy of Arch!" Back by popular demand, the “brilliant and blistering” Cindy of Arc continues its monthly residency at the Laurie Beechman Theater in NYC. Finalist for the 2023 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater, the VERY timely celebrated comedy rock extravaganza by playwright and performer Cynthia Kaplan is about the problem men have with lying and where that's gotten the rest of us. Particularly women. And Jews. Cindy of Arc is directed by Emmy-Winning writer and Tony-nominated producer Dani Davis, who directs a cast of four, including Cynthia Kaplan with Scott Stein, Dan Barman, and Zachary Larson/Julian Maile. Cindy of Arc will be staged monthly at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42nd Street in NYC, with the next performance scheduled for 9:30 p.m. on December 13, 2024. Why are there no Jews in Whoville? What is a scold’s bridle? What is the song Delta Dawn really about? Should we rethink Dr. Deborah Birx? Why is the Holy Ghost a ghost? In this brand new work of comedy and music, your guide, Cindy of Arc, will answer these and other pressing questions, taking you through an abridged history of the lies men tell in such popular areas as religion, politics, sex, and, of course, songwriting. Think American Utopia but with Nazis, expletives, cannibals, dogs, no David Byrne, and no Utopia. And no choreographer. And no money. And it’s a comedy. And we wear shoes. But otherwise, very similar. Time Out New York says “You'll laugh until you can't breathe,” and CBS News Commentator Nancy Giles calls Cynthia Kaplan “the funniest, funkiest white girl I've seen.” Cindy of Arc has also been called “A laugh-out-loud event” (Maryland Theatre Guide), "Brilliant and blistering” (NWTheatre.org), “Outrageously hilarious” (DelcoCultureVultures.com), “epically funny, and hyper-intelligent” (Folk Music Notebook Radio), “Hilarious...The show gave me early 90’s riot grrl political anarcho-punk folk meets Violent Femmes-style pop-rock” (Baltimore Fishbowl), “Raucously successful...A one-woman rock-n-roll tour through human history, mythology, literature, and more” (WBJC Radio, Maryland), and "Cindy of Arc is amazing. You are going to have a ball. Cynthia Kaplan is a genius” (Comedian Judy Gold). Cindy of Arc was first produced as a concert film shot during the pandemic in a barn on Cape Cod and premiered at the 2021 Cinequest Film Festival. In 2022, the show was workshopped on stage at Dixon Place Theater and the Five Angels Theater. Since then, Cindy of Arc has enjoyed several regional productions, including at NYC's historic Bitter End, the 50th anniversary season of Seattle's Tony Award-winning Intiman Theatre, Baltimore Theatre Project, and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. General admission tickets start at $25, plus a $25 food/drink minimum. For tickets, visit https://www.cindyofarc.com/. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • Ep 374- Singing Superstar Jamie Fine, My New Best Friend, Has a New Single You Need To Hear!
    Dec 23 2024
"LIKE I DO" is the first single release from JAMIE FINE's anticipated project. The project will be released early in 2025. "LIKE I DO" was written by Jamie Fine, Jordan Lutes, Keith Sorrells and Oscar Linnander and produced by Keith Sorrells and Oscar Linnander. In “LIKE I DO,” the Ottawa-born singer-songwriter celebrates her unique quirks, offering listeners a heartfelt glimpse into the complexities of love and self-acceptance. Fine acknowledges that she can be a handful to love but trusts that, beneath it all, her big heart shines through. Right from the opening line, she pulls us in with an honest admission about her ADHD, sharing the unique challenges it brings to relationships—from dominating conversations to needing reassurance. She knows it’s a lot to handle, but her promise remains steadfast: “No one will love you like I do.” Since going solo in 2020, Fine has cemented her place as a cultural force, with her 2022, EP "eight gardengate" showcasing her big-hearted, self-reflective nature. She’s been nominated for four JUNO Awards, with her music streamed over 100 million times worldwide by nearly 1.5 million fans who love her authenticity. Her unique ability to convey intense emotion is her superpower. For Jamie, music is deeply personal: “I write music for me—it’s cathartic. It helps me process my experiences.” Releasing music, she admits, feels vulnerable: “The safest place in the world is in my head. Sharing my music is like opening that space to others, aiming to create a safe place for them to explore their own emotions.” Jamie values unfiltered, honest conversations with family, friends, and her audience: “Real connections feed my soul like writing and performing.” Time with loved ones keeps her grounded. A four-time Juno nominee, Jamie’s music has over 100 million global streams. Her hit single If Anything’s Left reached Platinum status in Canada and Double-Platinum in South Africa. • Ep 372- Rep. Adam Kinzinger & Director Steve Pink Talk "The Last Republican" Documentary!
    Dec 21 2024
This was one of the most fascinating chats I have ever done. It was an honor to talk about "The Last Republican" with Adam Kinziger & Steve Pink! Displaying an unwavering commitment to putting country over self, Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger sacrificed his career and personal relationships by publicly demanding accountability for Donald Trump’s role in the January 6 insurrection. Filmed during Kinzinger’s final year in Congress, THE LAST REPUBLICAN reveals behind-the-scenes insights into the explosive January 6 committee hearings while delving into what drove him to take a stand as well as the lasting impact of his decision. Comedy writer, director, and far-left progressive Steve Pink (Hot Tub Time Machine, HighFidelity) formed an unlikely and often hilarious friendship with Kinzinger during their time together. Despite their political differences, Pink and Kinzinger’s mutual respect and shared humanity offer a timely reminder that civil discourse is possible—even in a deeply divided America. The doc is in NY this coming January! __________________________________________________________________ Check out "The Roundtable with Robert Bannon" here on BPN on the daily, on YouTube, and on social media!
