Since then, Alexandra has had an unbelievable career. She played Jessie Anderson on The Walking Dead, Sophie Larson on This Is Us and now she’s doing amazing work as Melinda Monroe on Virgin River. We talk about what it takes to build resiliency as an actor and why we both ultimately decided to leave California.     Hey everyone, today on the show is one of my heroes and inspirations, Lucy Lawless. She is, of course, Xena Warrior Princess, but I first met her as Number Three on Battlestar Galactica. We didn’t get to work together a lot, so it was a joy to sit down and chat with her. Lucy just directed her first documentary, Never Look Away, the story of CNN war photographer Margaret Moth. There are a lot of lessons to learn from the documentary and Lucy has a lot of stories about getting it made and the challenges they faced. It was nice to get a chance to chat with her while she’s doing press for the film. I think Lucy and I had different experiences working on Battlestar so it was enlightening to hear her perspective.
