HERE'S A BOOK I recommend: The title and cover of this book are a bit off the mark for me, but it’s what’s inside that counts, right? I have read lots of books on mindfulness and meditation. I think this one is a good path to follow for a lot of people. Or at least a good place to start (again?). I’ve read other books and say, "Yeah, I’m not doing this. It feels weird.” Or their method seems like too much to take on. Emily Fletcher's technique was one of the first ones that worked for me. You don’t need much patience. People who meditate aren’t magical. We all have endless thoughts in our heads. It’s a matter of finding the right way for yourself. And, you will never get rid of all of the thoughts, but you’ll learn to focus your mind on calmer things for little bits at a time. Maybe a better title for this book would have been “Meditation for Mainstream Folks”, because it’s a good fit for those who have ever said, “Oh, I can’t meditate. My mind is always racing.” Get your copy of the book here: https://amzn.to/3UCJIiF Disclaimer: The above are affiliate links.
