We headed down to Pennsylvania to visit one of my favorite places. I had been to the Yuengling Brewery (America's Oldest Brewery) several years ago and loved the history of it. Gia had never been on a tour of a brewery so it was a treat for her to see the process and especially to visit the oldest one in the United States. We had bought some new ultralight gear and had packed it for our backpacking trip to Pictured Rocks NL. Unfortunately we did not have the room to take the gear that we knew and were used to with us as well. During the trial run, we had many regrets. Should we have brought the gear we knew and just carried the added weight? Don't make the same mistakes we did!

So we head out into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to backpack a section of the North Country Trail We were packed and ready to go. We could t be more excited. We stay in our little hotel the first night before taking the shuttle to the trailhead. We pack our gear and then head out for a trial run down the road.
