Ephesians 4:32 says “…And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” But forgiveness is hard...and forgetting the offense is even harder...But when we forgive we are not agreeing to or excusing the offending behaviour (the sin), we are excusing the offender and allowing the forgiveness that we were grant by the Father through Christ flow in and through us. The fact that God forgives us of sin, does not make sinning okay. The fact that we forgive someone of their sin towards us, does not make the sin okay. Our job is to release it to only One who can make it right. When we partner with Him in this process, His strength becomes our power.
