Audible Exclusive. LJ Ross visits the Audible Studios to talk about her DCI Ryan Mysteries.

Dostoevsky's life was marked by brilliance and brutality. Sentenced to death as a young revolutionary, he survived mock execution and Siberian exile to live through a time of seismic change in Russia, eventually being accepted into the Tsar's inner circle. Historical novelist Philippa Gregory published her first novel Wideacre in 1987. With the book becoming a best seller, it began a career that has now lasted 30 years. The first in the Wideacre trilogy, it was soon followed by The Favoured Child (1989) and Meridon (1990). In the year of Wideacre's 30th anniversary, Philippa joins us in the Audible Studios to discuss the trilogy and the re-release of Wideacre, as well as the publication of her latest book The Last Tudor.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his new book, How to Be a Footballer, is professional football player and striker for Championship club Stoke City Peter Crouch. Capped 42 times by the England national team, scoring 22 goals for his country in that time and appearing in two World Cups, Peter Crouch is a household name in professional football and star of Championship club Stoke City. His new book, How to Be a Footballer, published in 2018.

Meik Wiking joins Robin Morgan in the Audible Studios to discuss his guide to happiness. Meik Wiking is the CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen. He is committed to finding out what makes people happy and has concluded that hygge is the magic ingredient that makes Danes the happiest people in the world.

Henry has spent decades in the British public eye on television, on our radios, big screens and as a stand-up comedian, often touring internationally. He co-founded Comic Relief in 1985 and has taken part in almost every year’s show since then, the charity raising over £1 billion so far! Henry has documented his career in his books, and most recently penned Rising to the Surface, which takes a look at his hectic life during the ‘80s and ‘90s.

When Mark Twain was growing up, all he wanted to be was a steamboat man. And so Twain ran away in pursuit of his dream. Life on the mighty river for Twain consisted of paddleboats and history, poker games and gamblers, larger-than-life characters and outlandish festivals like Mardi Gras.
