This tour begins at the train station and follows the route that Lincoln walked during the procession to the cemetery. We’ll walk the same streets that saw the Union retreat on July 1st and then the procession to the cemetery a few months later. Along the way, we’ll hear from many of the townspeople that witnessed the famous visit and we’ll stop at some of the places that hosted Lincoln and many of the participants in this historic gathering.

The National Mall in Washington, DC, is home to the world-renowned Smithsonian Museums and millions of visitors each year come to view the vast collections held here—however—they rarely look at the OUTSIDE of the buildings, and most know very little of the history of this place called the National Mall. We'll also visit some of the public buildings where the innocent and guilty had their days in court—and where Blackbeard's pirates were jailed!

See the places where these early Americans lived, worked, and socialized and hear many of their stories - the very stories that you'd expect from a place that produced our first President!
