"Faking It: Sex, Lies, and Women's Magazines", an article by Liza Featherstone in Columbia Journalism Review, brings up many questions on the merit of magazine stories that produce sexual anxiety, obsession, and insecurities. Susie goes over some of the headlines you've seen while checking out on the grocery line: "7 Great Tips for Better Sex", "The 5 Most Erotic Body Parts", and "The 10 Best Places to Make Love".

After a posting on Facebook, the debate by the FB friends was fierce from both sides of the issue. This all got started with an episode of The Joy Behar Show, when playmate Nicole confessed to being a recovering sex addict - because one day she couldn't stop masturbating. Susie says hogwash and blames media hype for labeling everything "addiction" to garner attention.
