Well-known as Pete in Gavin & Stacey, Adrian Scarborough is also known for his roles in The History Boys and The King’s Speech as well as his accomplished theatre career. Adrian talks to us about his role as the cruel Dennis in The Darkwater Bride, tells us what Pete in Gavin & Stacey has in common with Shakespeare’s Richard III and remembers his voice-over training back in drama school.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about her book Wally Funk’s Race for Space is science writer and broadcaster Sue Nelson. Wally Funk was one of the 13 members of the 1961 Women in Space Programme. The female aviation pioneer also became the first female air safety investigator for the NTSB and the first civilian flight instructor at Fort Sill, with over 19,000 flight hours. Sue Nelson, former BBC science correspondent and Radio 4 presenter, documents Wally’s extraordinary life in her new book, Wally Funk’s Race for Space, published in 2018.

Dallas Campbell joins us in the Audible Studios to chat about his new book, Ad Astra: An Illustrated Guide to Leaving the Planet. Having travelled the earth widely presenting shows such as Bang Goes the Theory and The Gadget Show, Dallas chats to us about an even bigger adventure - space. He tells us a few of the fascinating stories in his book, chats about why he'd be no good as an astronaut and explains why early space flight was like caravanning.

The writer and filmmaker Kevin Toolis joins Holly Newson in the Audible Studios to discuss his book, My Father's Wake: How the Irish Teach Us to Live, Love and Die. In this intimate and original memoir, Kevin gives us an insight into the history of the Irish wake amongst the backdrop of the death and wake of his father. Windust graduated from UCA Epsom with a degree in fashion management and marketing and within six months of their graduation was named as one of London's 1,000 most influential people by The Evening Standard. Windust is a freelance writer and has written pieces for British GQ, Gay Times, The Independent and many more. As well as being a writer, Windust is also a public speaker and has spoken at events for Tommy Hilfiger and TEDxLondonWomen.

Goldsmith is mixed-race and was raised in London in the 1950s by a single white mother. Goldsmith was the first female - and only ever woman of colour - to be elected to the University of Leicester students' union. She founded Anona Development Consultancy in 1995, for which she works as an energiser, motivator and strategist in the not-for-profit sector. Goldsmith has worked with more than 100 different groups and organisations over five continents.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Oscar Duke, a doctor working for the NHS who regularly contributes to The Surgery on BBC Radio 1, has appeared on Channel 4's 24 Hours in A&E, and presented his own documentary about albinism for BBC2, Born Too White. Dr Oscar Duke has written a book, How to Be a Dad, which gives a 'Doctor' section and a 'Dad' section for each and every stage of pregnancy through to birth and after, with handy tips for mums along the way.

Lumsden has 30 plus years of acting experience as well as a talent for playing musical instruments, composing and scriptwriting. He now turns his experience as a scriptwriter to novels. In The Six Loves of Billy Binns, listeners will follow 117-year-old Billy Binns as he relives his past loves, with the audiobook narrated by Richard Lumsden himself. In this interview Richard talks about giving up music to write, needing to be a bit older to find Billy’s view of love, and how he adds emotion to the story.

Born in London and trained at Lamda, Joseph's acting career began in the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has appeared regularly on television in shows such as Peep Show, Timeless and BBC drama Vigil, and on the big screen in movies such as Æon Flux and The Beach. Joseph wrote and performed in a one man play, titled Sancho: An Act of Remembrance. Now, he has been looking more deeply at the life of Charles Ignatius Sancho, the first Black person to vote in Britain, publishing a novel about his life.

Joining us in the Audible studios today is former Women's Arsenal captain and broadcaster, Alex Scott. Scott's memoir, How (Not) to Be Strong, shows a different side of Scott altogether. It delves into her childhood, exploring her vulnerable and softer side, and builds a picture of how she became who she is today.

Magician and presenter Stephen Mulhern joined us at Audible Studios to chat about his latest magical foray—Max Magic—which is his first children’s novel. He grew up in Sheffield and completed a travelling gap year before studying at the University of Hull, where his foray into politics began, being elected as Students Union president. Entering the world of work, Magid was elected as a Green Party councillor on Sheffield City Council in 2016, and from 2018-2019 he served as lord mayor.
