A mix of downtempo and ambient music aiming to elevate consciousness and free the human soul from the weight of the material world. A chance to experience a non-physical way of travel into the astral spheres of existence through a high frequency sound bath.

Digging through crates of vinyl to discover new music is something we all have fantasized about at one time or another. There is a different level of attachment to music we feel no one knows but us. We typically find these records in an obscure crate tucked away in a family members attic or the corner of a second hand shop. In the first season of 15 kr. vinyl, Alex & Brandon did just that. They comb through an old crate left in Absalons' basement many moons ago. Based on the cover alone, they try to determine the year and genre of the album completely based on intuition.

Carsten Dahl anses som en af Danmarks mest talentfulde musikalske sjæle. Han har medvirket på mere end 300 plader og er kendt fra jazzens verden, men han har også komponeret store orkesterværker. Når han ikke slipper sin originalitet ud i musikken, så svinger han penslen som billedkunstner. Vi inviterede Carsten Dahl ind i Absalons radiotårn til en snak med hans gode ven Lennart Lajboschitz. Over en kande kaffe tager de to venner en tur gennem musik, der har betydet noget for Carsten. Både hans egen og andres værker, som han kan lide og bliver inspireret af.

Artist in Residency is a radio exhibition for contemporary artists working with sound (in whole or as part of their medium). The first invited artist is Emilia Bergmark. Emilia graduated from the Royal Danish academy in 2018 with a masters in Fine Art. Emilia personifies inanimate objects and common animals to express labor economics within modern society.
